FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need any prior experience with pottery?
A: It depends on the class you register for. Some sessions are beginner-friendly and focus on simple handbuilding techniques, while others are intermediate workshops designed for those with some pottery experience. Each class description will clearly state the skill level required.
Q: How long is the class?
A: Each session runs about 2-3 hours. This gives you plenty of time to learn the techniques, shape your piece, and add finishing touches.
Q: Is everything included in the class price?
A: Yes! Clay, tools, professional instruction, and the firing process are all included. You’ll just need to bring yourself and wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy, and consider keeping your nails nice and short so working with the clay feels easier and more enjoyable.
Q: Can I take my piece home the same day?
A: Not right away. For our handbuilding classes, your piece needs to be dried, fired, and glazed. This process usually takes about 2–3 weeks. Once it’s ready, we’ll notify you for pickup.
Q: What happens if my piece cracks or breaks in the kiln?
A: Pottery can be unpredictable, and occasional cracks, warping, or breaks during the kiln firing process are part of working with clay. While these factors are out of our control, we will do everything possible to ensure the best results. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for these outcomes.
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Participants must be 18 years or older. We’ll be offering classes for younger potters in the future, so stay tuned for updates!
Q: What should I wear or bring?
A: Wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on, and short nails help a lot. No need to bring tools or clay—we’ve got it covered.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person. Please follow instructions on your e-ticket to transfer your ticket.
